Collaborators.

Health care transformation doesn’t happen in isolation. The Jim Pattison Centre for Health Systems Learning + Innovation is made possible through the strength of collaboration — bringing together the people, partners, and systems that power real change across the Southern Interior.

Interior Health

A system partner and strategic guide.

As the region’s public health authority, Interior Health is foundational to the Centre’s work. The Centre exists to support innovation within the health system; testing new ideas, bridging system gaps, and aligning projects with Interior Health’s priorities. We work closely with clinical leaders, administrators, and frontline teams to identify challenges, surface opportunities, and bring ideas to life that support better care across the continuum.

Regional Health Foundations

Fueling innovation through philanthropy.

The Centre was founded through a leadership gift, and philanthropy continues to power the work. Regional Health Foundations throughout Interior Health play a vital role by funding projects that directly impact the people and communities they serve. Whether it’s a pilot program, a technology trial, or a grassroots solution to a local issue, these foundations ensure that innovation is driven by need, and made possible by community support.

Community

The heartbeat of health care.

We believe innovation should be grounded in the real experiences of patients, caregivers, and community members. The Centre works to surface ideas from communities across the region, especially those that have historically been underrepresented in health care conversations. By engaging patients, families, and local leaders, we ensure the solutions we support are not only clinically sound, but socially responsive and community-led.

Industry

A bridge to practical solutions.

Whether it’s drone technology, remote monitoring, or process design, industry partners have a critical role to play in health innovation. The Centre serves as a safe and structured environment where ideas can be tested in partnership with the health system, something many public entities are not equipped to facilitate alone. We work to connect the right people, navigate regulatory realities, and ensure that promising solutions can be piloted and evaluated in real-world settings.
